Angelica Celaya Talks Playing Jenni Rivera in ‘Mariposa de Barrio’
The wait is (almost) over!
Telemundo announced today that the long-awaited biopic based on the life of late singer Jenni Rivera, Mariposa de Barrio, will be premiering Tuesday, June 27th on the network. The series will follow Rivera’s path to fame, while giving an account of her life story based on her autobiography, Unbreakable. Angélica Celaya had the honors of being chosen by the Rivera family to portray the role of their mother, who happens to be one of the most successful Regional Mexican artists of all time.
