A native of San Francisco, Robert Paul Taylor is without a doubt a remarkable American film actor and author. Most remarkably, he is an inspiration to many of our youth.

He has been in the entertainment industry for 15 years and in that time, he saw his purpose in life from a different light. It was when he turned 30 that he decided to live a straight edge lifestyle, which is being drug and alcohol free.

“I wanted to start living in life’s terms, live life to its fullest,” he said. It made sense to him since all of his favorite mentors were also straight edge, and the idea attracted him. “I really believe that we need better role models. we don’t have enough positive peer pressure in society especially in entertainment.”

Followed by his example, Robert is now helping people who are battling the same fight with alcohol. “I want to help people out, [tell them] you don’t have to die from an overdose or get a DUI or make a bad decision and hurt yourself,” he said.

He currently volunteers his time in hospitals and treatment centers aroud Hollywood and has spoken in alcohol and drug treatment facilities.

Taylor’s career began as a dancer in several MTV commercials. He found success as a dancer appearing in more than a dozen music videos including the Pussy Cat Dolls’ “Don’t ‘Cha,” Gwen Stefani’s “Rich Girl” and Elton John’s “Thankful”.

More recently, Robert brought Remy Ramirez to life on Hulu’s Original Series “East Los High” in its second season. “That was a lot of fun, it’s a great show to be involved in and it had just been a fun family experience,” he said.

He also played Sergeant Flex Hardbottom on the ABC’s series Mixology.

Currently, Taylor currently stars as Ray Peratta in the addictive series The Bathroom Diaries, which won the Silver Lei Award at the Honolulu Film Festival for “Best TV Pilot” back in 2013.

In Film, Robert appeared in the indie film Coyote and currently is one of the stars in the anticipated film Prince Ali, which addresses the cultural differences that have shifted in the Middle East.

In the fim, he had the pleasure to work alongside David Diaan (from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Sheila Vand (from Argo). “It really is a great film,” he said, “Sheila was fantastic and David is such a funny, brilliant guy.”

As an author and screenwriter, Taylor penned the screenplay for The Bathroom Diaries and released several books from his publishing company Street Fame Books, which include Paris in Flames, Drifting, All Out War, Of Everything I Once Loved, and Solitary Man.

Above all, Robert also lives a straight edge lifestyle and a big advocate for inspiring youth to live a drug and alcohol free lifestyle as well.
