Isa Icela Valdez loved having her own personal style ever since she was 5 years old.

Her mom created Isa’s own designs as she kept searching for a style she could call her own.

“I didn’t like dressing like the other girls, I was always looking for my own identity,” she said.

She then took matters into her own hands and learned how to bring her vision to life and make her own clothing.

Further down the road, she established herself in Monterrey, Mexico for 5 years, she then moved her career to Guadalajara and currently has been 12 years in business in Hermosillo, Sonora.

Isa Icela Valdez finds inspiration on the multifaceted everyday woman.  rosa

“The brand has always been inspired in women… in the many phases of a woman that make up one. It’s a woman that works, that can be a daughter, a mother, a lover. A woman in line with her emotions,” she said.

Today, Isa Icela Valdez revolutionizes and transforms into “Malamada”. As part of the evolution, she presented her line “Aroma Cielo” at this year’s Latino Fashion Live stunning the audience with the uniqueness in her style and her artistic vision.

“The collection is based on a certain nostalgia. It’s romanticism. You’re going to find very feminine clothing items, light colors, floral prints, that are all in some way connected with me,” she said.

The future looks bright for “Malamada”. Isa Icela Valdez looks to consolidate her brand and go national.

“This is about working every day, being constant, and keep looking for opportunities. What’s more important is to stay content, so that “Malamada” can keep on giving,” she said.
