‘Con Mary Rábago’ Celebrates 2nd Anniversary: “I Feel Fulfilled in All Aspects”

“I’m in a phase of my life where I feel fulfilled in all aspects.”

It’s been two years since former Univision anchor Mary Rábago decided to take the plunge and become an entrepreneur and an independent journalist.

Behind her company, Mary Rábago Productions, there’s now years of experience, learned lessons, problems and solutions. The mission for her multimedia agency continues to be offering its clients creative and innovative solutions.

“It’s been two years where we’ve been through everything, good and bad,” she said, “there’s been a lot of lessons learned, so I’m very happy and blessed.”

She’s also continued to host and produce her radio and TV show, both under the same name, “Con Mary Rábago,” sharing useful information to her audience on topics that matter including: education, politics, health, finances, and more.

And it’s precisely by offering this information that she continues to be grateful towards her followers.

“The best way to thank them is by offering different resources everyday, information, ‘el periodismo con propósito que tanto recalco,” she said, “I want my job to have an impact in the lives of those who are listening — it’s my passion.”

“Journalism with a Purpose” has been Mary Rábago’s everyday motto and her ultimate commitment to her audience to provide them information with the highest level of professionalism.

And it’s because of that and so many other reasons that her audience has stayed loyal for the past years.

“It’s a rare day when I don’t get a call on air where someone thanks me for something that they heard on the show,” she said, “that’s my best fuel; knowing that what I’m doing is in some way making a difference, and that is very gratifying to me.”

When it comes to the future, Rábago said she’d like to keep growing with her business and her career. She said she’d like to cross borders out-of-state and reach bigger markets.

“I want to keep growing not by taking quick steps, but rather firm steps.”

Mary Rábago is celebrating her second anniversary within the community on October 18th. A grand celebration will take place at the Desert Sky Mall in Phoenix where vendors will be available, along with service providers, music, mariachi, folklore dances, and of course the traditional cake.
