The weather’s finally winding down in Arizona and we can feel the holidays sneaking in right around the corner. It’s the season for endless festivities and guaranteed family fun! Like every month, here’s our list for the top events making their way to Phoenix this month.
Arizona Pupusas Festival
What is a pupusa? A Pupusa is a handmade corn tortilla, with your choice of meat, cheese and beans stuffed inside. It’s the national food from El Salvador, so popular that the Salvadoran government declared the 2nd Sunday of every November as the National Day of the Pupusa. But you don’t need a passport to enjoy these goodies, you can just head on over to Tempe on November 13th and enjoy with the entire family!

Julión Alvarez @ Talking Stick Resort Arena
His songs are all over the radio, and his sound has charmed millions – It’s Mexican singer Julión Alvarez and he’s making his way to the Talking Stick Resort Arena this month. Mariachi Festival 2016 @ Orpheum Theatre
It’s the very first festival of its kind in the Valley – the Mariachi Festival 2016. Brought to you by Food City, the festival will feature the world’s best mariachi, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán –along with the Ballet Folklorico Tapatío, Monica Treviño and much more entertainment for the entire family. It’s all happening in a Downtown Phoenix staple, the Orpheum Theatre.

Pizza Festival @ Margaret T. Hance Park
You had us at pizza! The upcoming Pizza Festival at Margaret T. Hance Park has been a trending topic in the Valley since it was announced at the beginning of the year – and it’s now finally here. Approximately 15 pizza makers will participate in the event, featuring live bands, lawn games, desserts, a local vendor marketplace, kid’s zones and much more. To top it all off, the perfect companion to pizza, beer! Eight craft beer brands will be available as well.

CitySkate Holiday Ice Rink @ Downtown Phoenix
It’s a tradition at Downtown Phoenix, and it doesn’t feel like the holidays until we it under construction – it’s the CitySkate Holiday Ice Rink. Have some fun with the entire family in the heart of Central Avenue, as it’s transformed into an ice skater’s dream, decorated with a massive tree and thousands of lights to enchant you and get you into the holiday spirit. Entertainment times vary, along with appearances from the jolly old elf himself – Santa!
