Enjoy Tasty Local Eats at the 5th Annual Chile Pepper Festival Sat., Oct. 1st
By: Samantha Collins
Chile peppers. Do just the words make your mouth water? Or perhaps your eyes tear up? In any case, whether you like them mild or tear-inducing, you can have it all at the 5th Annual Chile Pepper Festival this weekend on Roosevelt Row. While there will be music to jam out to all day, a kid’s area, and even dance lessons, the real star here is the food. The festival will showcase local cuisine all based around the wonderful chile pepper, so make sure you load up on tasting tickets to try all the delicious goodies that will be available, and don’t forget about the drink tickets so you can get a nice margarita to wash it all down. To sweeten the deal even more, all proceeds from the festival go to helping urban farming education for local students and supporting your local art community! So skip lunch this Saturday and make some room for tasty local eats at the Chile Pepper Festival!
