Dia de los Muertos Festival!

The Dia de los Muertos Festival will take place this year at the Mesa Arts Center on Saturday Oct 26 from 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. and Sunday Oct 27 from 12:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.

Festival admission and parking are free, and open to the public!

The free event honors the Day of the Dead holiday with a colorful Mercado featuring an assortment of Dia de los Muertos Merchandise, jewelry, arts, crafts, and authentic Mexican fare.

There will also be a family activity area, and two stages of live entertainment by a variety of excellent performing groups and much more. Finally, individuals and families may participate in the 2013 altar contest presented by Friends of Mexican Art (FOMA) in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate of Phoenix and the Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens.

The event also features a community altar where patrons can leave remembrances of their loved ones who have passed on.
