Dia De Los Muertos Event hosted at Goodyear Farms Cemetery

Ballet Folklorico Esperanza will hold a Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead celebration at Goodyear Farms Cemetery in Avondale on Saturday, October 27.  

The Hispanic community commemorates and honors the deceased by creating altars decorated with crafts, food and symbolic decorations at Dia de Los Muertos gatherings.  The event hosted in Avondale at Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery will also include entertainment, food vendors, craft vendors and free crafts for the children. Activities include a salsa making contest, a Catrin and Catrina costume contest for all ages, and a candlelite posada.

The event is hosted Saturday, October 27 from 4 – 7p.m. Admission is free.

Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery is located at 3800 W. Santa Fe Trail, Avondale.
