“El Che” @ the Phoenix Center for the Arts
“El Che” is an original play written by Marcelino Quiñonez, a local professional actor and ex-alumn at ASU. Produced by Benny Morel, this play will follow the life of the revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara. Directed by Matthew Wiener, the play’s sole purpose is to support the creation of a theater project that wills serve our community for years to come by telling the unique history of Latin culture.

Banda MS @ Comerica Theatre
Also known as Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Banda MS is a group created in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa in the year 2003. With a total of 15 members, the group has earned high praises, including their highest in 2013, a nomination to the coveted “Lunas del Auditorio” in the regional genre. Now, they’re bringing their 2016 tour to Phoenix with hits such as “Solo con Verte,” “Me Vas a Extrañar,” and “Háblame de Ti.”

Adele @ Talking stick Resort Arena

Guns N’ Roses @ the University of Phoenix Stadium
Guns and Roses are making an epic stop here in Phoenix this month. The 80s hard rock band from Los Angeles will be bringing their “Not in This Lifetime Tour” to the University of Phoenix Stadium, joined by Slash and Duff McKagan. This marks the first time since the “Use Your Illusion Tour” in 1993 that the three have shared a stage before.

Arizona Open Golf Tournament
August also brings something pretty epic for sports fans here in the Valley — the 72nd Annual Arizona Open. Hosted at the Scottsdale Troon Country Club, the 54-hole stroke play event will feature a 156 player field size limit. Musical Icon: Elvis Presley @ the MIM
The Musical Instrument Museum is going all out in a celebration specifically for the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Included with paid museum admission, the exhibit will be a celebration of the life of Presley. It will include fun Elvis MIMQuiz, hands-on activities for kids, a film starring Elvis Presley on the big screen and much more! The event will be free for Circle of Friends and Friends of MIM.
