Eva Longoria: 'Role of Women Has Been Socially Constructed'

Eva Longoria has become somewhat of a spokesperson for women  and Latinos everywhere.

In a recent interview with PowerwomenTV.com,  the Devious Maids producer spoke on the role of women  in society and how it has been defined.

“The role of women, historically, has been socially constructed,” Longoria  says. “So we have been told what we’re supposed to be.”

The 38-year-old says that women have been made to believe that they’re  supposed to be wives, mothers and caretakers of their family, but when it comes  to sucess in business, it doesn’t seem we believe we can have it all.
