Enrique Iglesias Takes Eclectic Approach to New Album
Enrique Iglesias recently released his latest album, with his popular single “Turn the Night Up,” a number well received by his fans.
In an interview with Efe in the gardens of Cap Roig in northeastern Spain, Iglesias said that, if he learned anything from his previous work “Euphoria,” it’s that “being musically eclectic and diverse and being able to put aside for the moment what you feel comfortable with is a good thing.”
“You never know about discs,” the singer said in reference to the reception he expects for his new album, and would only say that he feels “satisfied” with all the songs he has written up to now.
An evolving career Iglesias has shown he can continue to incorporate the dance music of today as well as preserve some of his earlier sounds.
“The changes in music result from the things that happen in your life, or just possibly from the influence of other artists,” said Enrique Iglesias, who admits that songs like “Experiencia Religiosa” have “nothing to do” with other more recent ones like “Tonight.”
