Camila Cabello’s Halloween Costume on the Tonight Show
Camila Cabello made an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon and touched on three personal, hilarious, and sweet moments from her life. The first moment is about her very first performance in the fifth grade, “The Little Mermaid” musical. Even though Cabello is huge in the music industry today, when she was younger she admits that she was actually very shy. She never liked singing or performing in front of her family, but had no choice when it came to audition for this musical in the fifth grade. Since this musical was being counted as part of her grade for a class, Cabello gave it all she had during auditions and as a result, was cast as “Shark #2.” Nonetheless, Cabello’s parents were very proud of her and cheered her on as “Shark #2.”
Jimmy Fallon then takes out a Halloween photo from 2016, in which Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid and other models are dressed in very cute and sexy Halloween costumes. But then on the far right of the picture, there’s Cabello dressed as a fat grandma who can’t find her cat because she sat on it. And that’s classic Camila Cabello for you.
Toward the end of the segment Jimmy Fallon asks about Cabello’s grandma, who is pretty much the #1 Camilizer. Cabello talks about how her song ‘Havana’ is very special to her grandma “because it has such a big part of her culture.” Cabello recalls the first time she played the song for her grandma. “I remember I played it for her. And my grandma has this very visceral way of listening to music. You know, she’s a Cuban lady. She feels it with her whole body. I played her ‘Havana’ and there’s this part where the beat drops, and she was like, ‘AYYYE DIOS!’” So it’s safe to say, Cabello’s abuela is very excited about ‘Havana,’ as well are other fans who have helped get the song to over a hundred million streams online.
