Phoenix Fashion Week concluded this Saturday after three days filled with fashion, art and music. From Thursday to Saturday, the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale was the hottest spot in town for fashion lovers all over the Valley.
PHXFW is the leading fashion industry event in the southwest and definitely an international platform, where designers from all over the world come to Phoenix to showcase their talent. The event is not limited to desert dwellers either, talented designers like Amanda Casarez from Washington, D.C. or Barbara Bultman from St. Louis, Missouri all came into town to be part of this amazing spectacle.
One of the most important things to highlight about PHXFW is without a doubt the support that emerging designers receive. They attend a four-month boot camp where they learn the business side of fashion. They are talented already, but putting a business plan together to create a successful brand definitely takes more than talent alone.
Being part of the select group of designers that get to show their creations during PHXFW is already rewarding enough, but the amount of brand exposure and networking they are exposed to during the three days is a great jumpstart to a designer’s career; not to mention how it helps them take their brands to a whole new level.
