Phoenix Fashion Week Presents Silvia Borus
Phoenix Fashion Week kicked off to a great start featuring 12 emerging designers to showcase their up and coming lines. Music, lighting and a star lit run way located at the Talking Stick Resort, entangled the crowd in to a modern mix of fashion and entertainment. An overall smooth event featured Latina designers such as Silvia Bours, originating from Sonora Mexico, and now making a statement on Latin American and Phoenix runways.
Silvia Bours designs take a couture spin on traditional Mexican wear. Her designs use florals and fruit patterns, as well as murals synchronizing the Hispanic culture of agriculture as well as Dia De Los Muertos Art. Her mix of the two styles with a touch of couture creates beautiful one of a kind dresses that are refreshing to Hispanic fashion.
Silvia Bours head lining dress would make any woman feel like a princess with its extended tutu style skirt covered in light floral patterns. The wedding dress gave the appearance of the model walking on air as she floated across the runway. Silvia’s gown ended Friday nights show.
