The Best Latina Celebrity Fragrances
These days celebrities rule the fragrance industry, and nearly every hip celeb has a fragrance tied to their name. With so many endorsements out there and options it may be hard to find the right fragrance for you, to make the decision little easier check out the list below of some of the top Latino endorsed celebrity fragrances. There is even a look at Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming new surprise scent!
JLove by Jennifer Lopez, $39 – $49, Available at Kohl’s in October
J.Lo’s latest scent will make this the singer’s 20th fragrance! “With number 20, it’s a landmark. I asked myself, ‘Who am I and what do I encompass?'” Lopez told WWD. “My message has always been love, whether it’s my music or my movies or whatever. It’s such a big part of who I am. We decided to call it JLove for that very reason, because it encompasses everything about me in one simple little word.”
JLove has a fruity floral citrus scent and comes with a leopard print bottle cap. “We wanted something that would encompass the whole brand,” she said. “And I always find myself drawn to classic Hollywood glamour — so I thought of animal prints and fur and clean lines, just to celebrate that glamour and luxury. The actual juice reflects that as well.”
Nicole by Nicole Richie, $55 and up, Macy’s and other department stores
Vanilla, amber and cashmere woods will be among the notes in this namesake perfume, which was inspired by her mother. “I have a very traditional Southern mom — you never left the house without lotion,” Richie told WWD. “Over her lotion went oil and perfume — she was very put together from head to toe. It wasn’t just a one-dimensional smell — there were many different layers.” The scent also features notes of blackberry and orange.
S by Shakira, $28 (available in both department stores and drugstores starting in September)
The Colombian star says her first fragrance resembles her. And she didn’t lie; it’s energetic, confident, and so sexy thanks to the vanilla and sandalwood notes it’s perfect for a romantic night out. After all what lady wouldn’t want to project a little of the spicy Latin singer.
And something for your man, ladies:
Paco Rabanne Lady Million, $48, sephora.com
For his latest fragrance, the half-Spanish fashion designer mixes orange blossom, honey, and patchouli. But it’s not the patchouli you may associate with 70s incense. Instead, it’s a clean musky note that perfectly complements the sweet honey. What a chic, stylish looking bottle as well!
