Chavez Jr. Wins 50th Bout; Cardinals faced Dolphins; Suns and Pelicans in OT

Monterrey, Mexico was that site that witnessed Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. obtain his 50th victory as a professional boxer.
Chavez Jr. beat German Dominik Britsch by unanimous decision in-front-of ten thousand fans at Arena Monterrey.
The judges scored 99-91, all in favor of Chavez Jr. in a match that clearly belonged to the Mexican legend’s son.
Chavez had not fought in 17 months; it is expected that he will look to face Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez as his next opponent.
Chavez Jr.’s record stands now at 50-2-1, while Britsch’s record is 32-3-1.
Cardinals Vs Dolphins
It rained more than water in Mimi as the Arizona Cardinals fell to the Dolphins 26 – 23; the bad news also
poured down as the team learned that their playoff hopes are gone.
The game was not decided until the last play when Mimi scored on a field goal to win the contest.
Arizona’s record stands now at 5-7-1, while Miami improved to 8-5.
The Cardinals entered the current season as one of the favorites to play in the Super Bowl.
“We have a good nucleus of guys. The season isn’t over yet. We still have a lot of football left and we still want to put good stuff on film,” said Cardinal’s cornerback Patrick Peterson.
Suns – Pelicans Overtime
Back on November 4th the Phoenix Suns beat the New Orleans Pelicans in overtime; the Pelicans returned the favor as Phoenix fell to New Orleans at Talking Stick Resort Arena Sunday night 119-120.
The Pelicans were almost unstoppable from beyond the three-point arch as they made 16 three-pointers en route to victory.
The Suns held a 15-point lead in the third quarter, but could not take advantage of it.
Eric Bledsoe finished the game with 32 points for the Suns, while Jrue Holiday was the best scorer for New Orleans with 32 points.
Phoenix will host the New York Nicks on Tuesday at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
