Suns fall short against Warriors
By Francisco Romero. – The Warriors were just too much to handle at home beating the Phoenix Suns 138 – 109 Saturday night.
It seemed like the Warriors took their revenge on the Suns after a double-overtime loss to Houston Thursday night; the Rockets snapped Golden State’s 12 game winning streak.
Stephen Curry was on fire for Steve Kerr’s team as he scored 20 of his 31 points in the third quarter of the game. Curry and Klay Thompson combined to score 57 points for the game; the paired nicknamed Dub Brothers shot 14-for-21 from beyond the three-point arch.
Warriors’ Kevin Durant finished the game with 20 points and 8 assists.
The Suns played catch-up and just could not keep up with Golden State.
For the Suns Eric Bledsoe finished the game with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists; Devin Booker added 21 points to Earl Watson’s team. Brandon Knight added 14 points for the Suns.
The victory for the Warriors prevented them from losing two games in a row, something they have avoided since April 2015.
This was the third meeting for the Suns and Warriors already this season, in their last contest the Warriors beat the Suns in Phoenix 133 – 120, they will not meet again until April.
The Suns record stands now at 6 – 14, while the Warriors improve to 17 – 3.
The Suns will face Utah on Tuesday night, in Salt Lake, looking to snap a four game losing streak to the Jazz and will return to Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday December 7th.
