If there is any indication of how the next five World Series games between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs will turn out is anyone’s guess.

The Cubs won game 2 by a score of 5-1 to tie the series and continue the drama in a classic clash by both teams.

Game 1 witnessed excellent pitching and timely hitting by the Indians; game 2 gave us more to keep us on the edge, as Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta flirted with a no-hitter going into the sixth inning.

The Cubs won its first World Series game since October 8, 1945.

Arrieta was on cruise control for 5.2 innings, allowing 2 hits and giving up only one run, “I was able to get some strikeouts because of the aggressiveness and not trying to overthrow. I think at least one of the walks in the first was kind of pretty much due to that, and being a little overly amped up, and trying to do more than I had to. But after that inning, I was able to kind of settle down and pitch well from that point on,” said Arrieta after the game.

Game 3 of the World Series will be played at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on Friday.

The Sacramento Kings used an 18-1 run in the first half and never looked back to beat the Phoenix Suns 113-94 Wednesday night.

It was the home opener for the Suns.

As it was expected Suns Devin Booker, although with foul trouble, led his team with 18 points, Eric Bledsoe added 16 points for the Suns.

DeMarcus Cousin was the leading scorer for Sacramento with 24 points.

The Suns will travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder on Friday; tip-off will be at 5:00 pm (MST).
