Phoenix Suns relieve Hornacek as Head Coach
By Francisco Romero
The Phoenix Suns posted on their website that head coach Jeff Hornacek has been relieved of his duties.
Hornacek became the Suns head coach in 2013 and compiled an overall record of 101-112 during his tenure with Phoenix.
In a season plagued by injuries the Suns’ current record stands at 14-35.
An interim coach has not been announced yet, but one is expected to be named as soon as possible, as the Suns will host the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
Hornacek finished with a record of 48-34 and 39-43 respectively in his first two seasons as the Suns head coach.
During his NBA career, Hornacek played six seasons for the Suns.
