Cardinals Back in Action against 49ers after Bye Week

Looking for their forth win of the season, the Arizona Cardinals return to the grid-iron next Sunday to take on the San Francisco 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium.
The Red Birds enter this weekend’s game with a record of 3-4-1 while the 49ers have only won one contest during the regular season and have a record of 1-7; kickoff is scheduled for 2:25 PM.
The Cardinals are coming off a loss 20 – 30 loss to Carolina, a game that was played at Bank of America Stadium.
After taking on the 49ers this week, Arizona will play three of its next four games on the road and will also play six straight games against teams that currently hold a .500 record or better.
Despite Arizona’s record it will enter Sunday’s game with one of the best defense’s in the league; The Cardinals defense is currently is the NFL’s #1 ranked unit – having not allowed a passing TD in 15 consecutive quarters.
As a matter of fact Arizona enters Week 10 with the NFL’s #1 ranked defense, allowing just 297.0 yards per game this season. The Cardinals defense is tied for fourth in the NFL in points allowed per game (17.5).
A Cardinals’ player who has been successful against the 49ers is Larry Fitzgerald; the wide receiver has more receiving yards against the 49ers (1,935) than any other active player has against any single opponent. He also has 16 career TD receptions against San Francisco, including two in Week 5 earlier this season.
Cardinals’ running back David Johnson was named the “NFC Offensive Player of the Month” for his performance in October, becoming just the third player in franchise history to be named “Offensive Player of the Month” and the first RB to do so.
Johnson finished the month of October with an NFL-high 726 yards from scrimmage (488 rushing, 238 receiving) while tying for the NFL lead with five rushing TDs and
ranking third in the league with 488 rushing yards.
