Pac 12 Men’s Basketball: Arizona’s Gabe York Named Player of the Week
By Francisco Romero
The University of Arizona Wildcats finished the regular season with a pair of victories at McKale Center this past weekend. The wildcats beat California and Stanford.
Senior Gabe York finished the weekend with a 25.5-point average per game, hitting 60.7 percent from the field. York was on fire Saturday as he finished with a career high 32 points against Stanford on Senior Day; York matched a McKale Center record with nine made three-pointers.
The award is the first of York’s career and the third earned by an Arizona player this season. Freshman Allonzo Trier earned the honors in non-conference play while senior Ryan Anderson earned weekly accolades from the Pac-12 in February.
York currently ranks fourth in UA history with 219 made three-point field goals in a career and his 88 this year is the sixth-most by a Wildcat in a season.
March Madness
Before we get ahead of ourselves and start talking about the NCAA Basketball Tournament there are conference tournaments to be played this week.

The Oregon Ducks finished the regular season in first place in the conference with a record of 14-4, followed by the Utah (13-5) and Arizona finished in third place (12-6). ASU finished the season with a conference record of 5-13 and 11th place.
