Election Protection to Provide Crucial Assistance to Voters during Arizona Primary

(Washington, DC) Election Protection, the nation’s largest nonpartisan voter protection coalition, led by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Lawyers’ Committee), will provide live assistance for voters in Arizona and Florida during the August 30 state legislative and federal primaries. Election Protection volunteers will be available to assist voters with issues, problems, or questions that arise during the voting process. Voters may call 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) toll-free with any questions or issues that may arise from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. EDT on primary Election Day.  Spanish-speaking voters may seek bilingual assistance through the 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682) 6:30 a.m. EDT to 10:30 p.m. EDT.

Important Information and Tips for Arizona Voters

  • Early voting runs from August 3 through Election Day. For early voting hours and locations in your county, go to http://www.azsos.gov/elections/voting-election/contact-information-county-election-officials.
  • On Election Day – Polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. local time.
  • For in-person voting, voters will need to bring ID to the polls with name and address. If you don’t have a photo ID, make sure you bring two documents with your name and address.
  • Assistance at the Polls – Under federal law, voters with a disability or have difficulty with English have the right to bring a person of their choice into the polls with them.
  • If voting by mail, make sure your ballot is received by 7 p.m. local time on Election Day.
