Donald Trump Returns to Arizona This Weekend
Donald Trump is officially making a third campaign stop in the Valley this weekend.
The Arizona Republic reports that the business mogul will be stopping by Phoenix ahead of the March 22nd primary elections. The rally is expected to draw in thousands of fans. Security is expected to be tightened after violent incidents have taken place in recent Trump rallies, most recently in Chicago.
The rally is to be held at Fountain Park outside Phoenix.
Trump has stopped by the Valley twice before. Once back in July at the downtown Phoenix Convention Center, soon after he’d made comments about immigrants calling them “rapists” and “criminals.” His second stop was in December at a Mesa airport hangar, where he was received with an uproar of support, restating his already famous plans to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Recent polls show Trump as a clear winner in Arizona’s upcoming primary elections. Arizonans began voting in the primaries by mail-in ballots in late February.
