You’ll Never Believe Who Demi Lovato’s New Breakup Song Is About

MORE: 10 Times Demi Lovato Dropped the Mic With Her Brilliance

We speculated that it could be about one of her celeb exes (we’re looking at you, Wilmer), or even herself, and it looks like it’s the latter.

As HelloGiggles spotted, a clever fan posted this contemplative message on Twitter and Instagram and the singer herself responded to confirm she was right.

As you can see from the comments side, Demi responded with a clap emoji and wrote “Well done. It is.”

Given Demi’s past struggles with addiction, the lyrics make perfect sense.

“Money won’t pay for your problems
You gotta fix them yourself
Vices and pity won’t solve ’em
Stop feeling bad for yourself”

We love how outspoken the star has been about addiction, mental health issues, and overcoming obstacles and we congratulate her on such a fantastic, personal song. Can’t wait to scoop the new album, Tell Me You Love Me, on September 29. Click here to pre-order.
