The San Antonio Spurs just keep going, going and going. Wednesday night was no different as the Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 108-103 achieving their 15th victory in a row.

With the win San Antonio’s record stands now at 55-16 with the best record in the NBA. Denver is now 32-40 and officially out of contention for any playoff hopes. For the first time in 10 years Denver will not be participating in the post season.

The game seemed to be out of reach with the Spurs 24 point lead, but Denver was able to come back and cut the deficit to 4 points in the fourth quarter.

The ageless Tim Duncan finished the game with 29 points and 13 rebounds to help his team come away with the win. Tony Parker, Tiago Splitter and Manu Ginobili scored 10 points each.

For Denver Aaron Brooks was instrumental in Denver’s comeback finishing the game with 25 points. Kenneth Faried added 24 points for the Nuggets.

“We had great flow during the first half, we moved the ball very well and hit a lot of shots,” mentioned Manu Ginobili after the game and added, “Early in the second half we just stopped making shots and missed easy ones, they made some tough shots and really improved the pace.”
