Stylos Seeks Diverse Models for 10th Annual Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony

(Phoenix, Ariz.) – Stylos Awards will hold a model audition for the fashion component of their 10th annual ceremony. The casting will take place on Saturday, July 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at La Flor de Calabaza, located at 705 N. 3rd Street, Suite 110 in Phoenix.

Models of every size, race, gender and sexual preference are welcome to participate. Stylos fashion show organizers are looking for men and women 18 years of age or older who want to gain modeling experience. Those who attend the casting are not required to be experienced models. The people selected to be part of the Stylos fashion show will receive modeling training, be part of a professional photo shoot, receive photos for their portfolio and they will be the faces of the 10th Annual Stylos Awards.

The night of the event, Stylos models will showcase the creations of prominent local fashion designers during a fashion show, which is a signature element of the awards ceremony. “Stylos is an event in which we seek to showcase the talents of our community,” says Jessica Valiente, one of the organizers of the fashion show. “Through our fashion show, we also seek to challenge the conventional concepts of beauty. That is why we welcome plus size men and women as well as members of the transgender community.”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of this unique awards ceremony. The event is a platform through which the talent of Arizonans is recognized and celebrated. Business people, activists, entrepreneurs, artists and others are honored on this night that brings together people of all backgrounds. All the proceeds of the event go towards the creation of scholarships for high school and college students.

Stylos Awards is organized by the Isac Amaya Foundation, whose mission is to provide guidance and financial resources for students, regardless of their immigration status, to achieve a higher education.
