September is the month for Arizona Latinos. Not only are we celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16th, but we’re also celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. That’s an entire month paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have enriched this nation and society.

Need any more reasons to celebrate this month? From the traditional “Grito” to Mana’s Latino Power Tour, there’s something for everyone to get out there and have the time of their lives! So without further ado, here’s our monthly list of the top 10 things to do in Phoenix for the month of September.

El Grito 2016 De la Campesina @ Comerica Theatre

“El Grito” is the official celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day – that’s why local radio station La Campesina 88.3 FM is pulling all the stops to make it a night to remember. Together with Bud Light and Comerica Theatre, “El Grito 2016” will bring you a lineup of some of the biggest names in regional music, including Codigo FN, Regulo Caro, El Dasa, Adriel Favela and Tito Torbellino. 7th Annual Brazilian Day Festival @ Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts

Afro:Baile presents the 7th Annual Brazilian Day Festival, a celebration of Brazilian culture – past, present and future! Molotov @ the Rialto Theatre

The Rialto Theatre in Tucson is getting pumped for one of the most noted Mexican rock bands of all time – Molotov. Formed in 1995, the group’s songs are now iconic, with hits such as “Gimme the Power” and “Frijolero.” Their songs are unlike any other, mixing genres of alternative rock, hip-hop, and even a little rap. It’ll be a concert for the books, so make the drive down to Tucson and enjoy!

2016 Mexican Baseball Fiesta @ Hohokam Stadium

Arizona Summer Ends Margarita and Mojito Festival @Rawhide

What’s a better way to wave summer goodbye with one last Margarita-slash-Mojito festival in the Valley this year? It’s all going down at the Rawhide Western Town and Event Center in Chandler this September 24th. The festival will feature unlimited tasting of margaritas, mojitos, craft and Mexican beers.
