Paul Penzone Ahead of Arpaio in New Poll

Paul Penzone’s campaign for Sheriff is gaining momentum, and continues to gain support from the community.

According to a new poll by Lincoln Strategy Group, Penzone has the support of 44.5 percent of the 3,000 Maricopa County voters surveyed. Sheriff Joe Arpaio received the support of 41.8 percent.

The remaining 14 percent answered as undecided. When the group was asked to make a choice, Penzone was supported by 52.3 percent against 47.7 percent for Arpaio.

The poll, with a margin error of 1.8 percent, proves that the six-term, 84-year-old Republican Sheriff will be in for a rather tough, competitive race in November.
