Lin-Manuel Miranda Stripped Down In A Crosswalk
These two really let it all hang out.
James Corden scored the perfect guest for “Crosswalk the Musical: Hair”: Lin-Manuel Miranda. If you aren’t familiar with the “Crosswalk The Music” segment, Corden, a guest, and some dancers perform a musical while in a crosswalk — before the traffic lights change. For “Hair,” the cast performed “Aquarius,” “Let The Sunshine In,” and “Hair.” They took some creative liberty with the lyrics, which was noticed by co-author James Rado. While most of the skit involved silly dances on the crosswalk and visibly aggravating Los Angeles drivers, the final number was where the magic happened. Corden and Miranda took to the crosswalk to sing “Hair” and gave the audience the full performance as they stripped out of their robes and WENT FOR IT.
Corden and Miranda really let the world see that they will do anything to stay true to the original.
Before this musical number, Corden and Miranda tell viewers that the State of California and CBS told them they were not allowed to do it, but art cannot be censored.
And it appears that the accidental audience was thoroughly impressed with the whole performance.
Bravo! 👏🏽
