The glitz, the glamour and the style, oh my!  Ideaz Media’s creative production of Latino Fashion Live 2013 was aptly named.  Live is the absolute best way to describe the evening.  From the fabulous hosts, to the gorgeous models this evening was the Latino fashion even of the year.

One attendee, Kim, gushed, “I think it was even better than last year!” Martha Navarro of Mujeres Unicas declared, “It exceeded my expectations.”  Wow! Everything about the evening screamed luxury and class.  Not only was the evening filled with the best of the fashion industry, but also raised money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Fashion, style, sophistication and charity truly made it the perfect evening.

Success was all in the preparation

The pre-show vibe was certainly live.  Fittings, hair, makeup and rehearsals were abuzz with excitement.  Everyone working together and doing his or her thing flawlessly to make the event come off with out a hitch.  A quick walk through hair and make-up revealed true artistry at work.  Models from Ford Robert Black agency provided a spectacular backdrop to the make-up styling of Michael Franco.  Hair prep by VOLr Salon showed pure genius in concept and skill in execution.  Fittings and script run-throughs gave a preview of the wonderful evening ahead…the anticipation was electric!

 Runway bliss!

LFL 2From the first moment on stage to the final designer, Silvia Bours, the Runway was all beauty, all style, all class and pure entertainment. The signature model of the night, Rita Vasquez and casting call winner Brenda Hubbard truly represented the regal beauty of our local Latina talent. Newcomers and sibling pair, Francisco and Lillian Rascon, were stunning as the Faces of ArizonaLatinos.com.  The evening’s hosts, La Kalle 100.5FM’s Erika Reyna and Univision’s Jorge Valenzuela, provided some lively commentary and showcased some pretty sophisticated styles from the designer participants.  With music sensation, “the angel of the airwaves,” Angie Gomez in the house, guests were thoroughly entertained all evening long!

Oh, and the style, the style rocked this runway.  Beginning the night’s show was Natalia Acosta whose couture gowns showcased the creativity and sass of this Mexican designer. Gorgeous.  The guys were not let down by designer and stylist Amir Saebi whose dapper looks pulled casual and gentlemanly looks together with ease.  As for, local designer Trifilio’s resort-wear styles wow! These looks screamed sophistication.

Renowned designer Ted Baker London graced the Latino Fashion Live 2013 stage with the perfect spring and summer looks for any fashionista and gentleman alike.  Easy, simple styling and pastel pairings were definitely high class.  As for sexy Beach Bunny, ¡Ay, que caliente!  These suits were sizzling!

The designer closing the show for the night brought out all the stops.  Silvia Bour’s designs are best described as femininity with an unexpected edge.  Sumptuous textures and interesting embellishments made the audience want to reach out and touch the gowns; so beautiful and so sophisticated.

The night was a full-on success and an amazing way to highlight a facet of the Latino Fashion and Philanthropic community that often doesn’t get enough attention.  Latino Fashion Live was and will continue to be a thrilling event full of the best our community has to offer, Bravo!
