Latino Fashion Live Features International Designers

 What makes something stylish?  Is it the way it’s designed? Is it the way it’s worn? It is not an either or answer; a well-designed dress is only a dress until it’s worn with confidence.  Which is what makes the Latino Fashion Live 2013 event so exciting. The international designers in house for the show read like a New York Fashion Week line-up.  Beach Bunny, Roberto Botticelli, Addison Taylor and Ted Baker will all wow the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino Ovations Showroom runway with fabulous designs.  These big name designers will all be showcased by some of most striking Latina and Latino models to hit the catwalk.  One thing is for sure: the designers are in for a treat when they see their couture lines gracing the figures of these sophisticated and sizzling models.

The brand section of Botticelli’s website defines the woman or man that choose to wear their designs: “The woman of Botticelli’s universe is a woman in the know, amusing and extremely sexy, able to choose her role without giving up her femininity to modern society,” it says.

  “A Botticelli man is a true gentleman who stays faithful to his elegance over the years and fashions.” These definitions fit the Latino community perfectly.  So we can’t wait to see this fine footwear on the feet of our lovely models.

 Ted Baker: elegant flair

If you haven’t visited the Ted Baker store or website recently, let’s do a quick recap.  The simple, elegant lines of Ted Baker’s couture line will take you back to the height of the 1950’s.  Think floral pedal pushers, Jackie O’ style dresses and absolutely gorgeous pastels.  A prominent Latino fashion commentator and design guru, Oscar De La Salas talks about elegance: “Elegance is natural…and sometimes…. – NOT ALL(ways) – could be learned, or at least could be emulated!”  When our Latina models start down the runway sporting a Ted Baker ensemble, that elegance is certainly going to be natural and everyone is going to want to emulate it, of that you can be sure.

 Beach Bunny:  super sexy swimwear

Anyone pick up a copy of Sports Illustrated lately?  Well if you do, Beach Bunny fashion is highlighted in the 2013 edition.  Seriously, international acclaim and they’re coming to Chandler Arizona to showcase their designs for the Latino community.  That speaks to the allure that the Latino community has to the world.  The beachwear that Beach Bunny sets out takes some serious ganas to wear.  One thing cannot be denied: Latinas and Latinos alike are proud of taking risks in fashion and have the confidence to pull it off. 

Addison Taylor: edgy sophistication

Though Addison Taylor’s home base is set in Scottsdale, this jewelry design house is included in this international piece because they have an international reach.  With stars like Cheryl Crow and Jennifer Hudson sporting the designs, Addison Taylor is a rising star itself.  The Latino community embraces and welcomes the edgy, sophisticated style in this jewelry collection.  Gorgeous and cutting edge, perfect for showing the world the power of Latina beauty. 

 The iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren once said, “Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.” Truly nothing shows the reality of this statement more than the upcoming Latino Fashion Live 2013 fashion show event. In a recent casting call Univision Radio’s own Erika Reyna explained how she views the fashion industry and events like Latino Fashion Live 2013: “I think it is really good because it empowers us and shows the world that, yes, Latinas love beauty and fashion and we have the talent and want the opportunities.” 

 The Latino Fashion Live 2013 event showcasing international and local designers embodies the idea put forth by Loren, the belief that style, sophistication and beauty come from something within and is reflected in the belief in the beauty of our people and our community.
