Juanes, John Legend Perform Outside Arizona Jail
The Valley of the Sun is still talking about John Legend and Juanes’ visit yesterday.
The duo stopped by the area to meet with immigrants at a jail in Eloy, about 60 miles southeast of Phoenix. Then, they performed for a small crowd of about 100 people outside the facility to draw attention to the immigration issues that surround our state.
The performance was very intimate, where only activists and relatives of detainees were in attendance. Juanes and Legend performed together on top of a flatbed truck parked across the street from the federal detention center.
It was said that the artist’s intention was for the detainees to hear the music, but it was later found that they were not let out of their cells to hear the concert.
