Jason Momoa Tells Gael Garcia Bernal How He Fell In Love With Wife Lisa Bonet
Actor, producer, director Gael Garcia Bernal, and caveman turned movie star, James Momoa were on James Corden this week and the conversation quickly turned to how Momoa’s appearance made everyone feel “a little less manly.” It’s probably something Momoa gets fairly often. Standing at 6’4” and 215 lbs, his stature would intimidate anyone. While his smoldering eyes, rugged beard and wild mane contribute to what Corden and Bernal were feeling, its probably the fact that Momoa is constantly cast as a marauding maniac, like Khal Drogo in “Game of Thrones,” that make it hard for them to make eye contact with him.
But hey, according to Corden, Garcia hasn’t aged in 20 years, so if you think about it, that’s a stronger super power than hyper-manliness anyway. Right, guys? No? Just me? Okay.
With Momoa starring as Aquaman in the upcoming “Justice League” Film, it’s no surprise that he’s looking extra jacked. Aquaman has always been the butt of the joke, but no one will be clowning on Momoa. Not to his face anyway.
He may not get you with his muscles, but he’ll melt your heart with that smile.
It feels a little bit like a stalker-y story, but I think it’s meant to be sweet. You be the judge.
Momoa stars as Aquaman in DC’s “Justice League” out this week and Garcia costars as the voice of Héctor in Disney/Pixar’s “Coco,” releasing next week. Check out our review of “Coco,” here.
