There is such thing as “the point of no return”, especially when over-tweezing your eyebrows. Once you’ve plucked until they’re barely there, it’s very difficult to ever get them back. And when they do come back, they are really never the same again.

Tweezing eyebrows was considered one of the most fashionable things you could do back in the 90s. But anyone who really grew up in the 90s and over-plucked is paying the price for it now. Pencil-thin eyebrows can add years to your appearance, and now all those women want their brows back.

Now, times have changed, and thick, full brows are on trend. Having full eyebrows myself since birth, I have definitely seen what a blessing it is to have such thick, and long brows. And the comment I get the most is: “Don’t ever touch them!” — and I would never dream of it. The brow trend has slowly made its way into the mainstream again and it is definitely an attention grabber in the best way.

There are many beauties in Hollywood right now that have made this trend popular once again. Of course, there will always be the women who had those strong brows originally, like the beautiful Brooke Shields. But thanks to actresses now, like Lily Collins, Camilla Belle, Emmy Rossum — or fashion models like Cara Delevingne — women are doing all they can to get the look.

And while there are many treatments to get those brows back (like eyebrow extensions, or even something as drastic as a brow transplant), not everyone has the means to afford to splurge like that. There are other ways to get those fuller brows without breaking the bank, until your natural brows grow in again, that is.

First and foremost, stop tweezing and waxing! Let your brows be for a while so they can grow out. This is probably the most important first step you should take. Another course of action would be over the counter cosmetics for temporary fillers.

Over the counter brow products have definitely become more popular lately. I have even come across “brow bars”.

But, we need to be careful when using these pencils and fillers because they can tend to look unnatural and overdone; and that won’t look cute at all. A product that I know and love very well is the Anastasia Brow Gel. I use the regular gel for keeping my brows in place; but for you ladies that are looking for a natural looking filling product, try the Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel. It comes in various colors to match yours perfectly and is available at Sephora or Ulta.

It’s a great addition to your make-up regimen and it will make your brows look beautifully natural.

I’d like to think that once the brows are on point, the whole face comes together flawlessly. So put the tweezers down, and see how it will make a difference!
