Is your online date a FAKE? Dating sites under fire for posting bogus profiles

Here’s yet another reason to be ultra careful when it comes to online dating.

The idea of meeting someone with guaranteed exact same qualities as you is alluring, but beware of marketing techniques by the same websites. 

The Daily Mail has shared a new investigation that proves that creating fake profiles to lure users in is allegedly widespread practice in the online dating industry.

Recently, one site in specific paid over $600,000 dollars to settle a lawsuit accusing them of using fake profiles and messages. The practice is especially true when it comes to sites specifically created for casual hookups. 

It seems that online dating and the people who use these sites to look for a partner are not only being exploited with ridiculously expensive subscriptions, but they are also being lied to about who they meet.

But then again, with anything that regards to the online world — you must keep your red flags on and be safe!
