unnamedThe Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in its role as the premier advocate for state’s Latino small business community, recently distributed a public statement supporting the passage of a comprehensive federal immigration reform plan.

As president and CEO of the AZHCC, Gonzalo A. De La Melena issued the statement on behalf of the AZHCC Board Chairman, Lisa Urias and the AZHCC Public Policy Committee, in response to the announcement by Congressional House Republican leaders regarding immigration reform.

In addition, the AZHCC sent a letter to all nine members of the Arizona delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives expressing the support for Congressional action this year on immigration reform. (Senators Flake and McCain of Arizona voted in support of a U.S. Senate Immigration Bill last year).
