PHOENIX — A recall on fruit will affect multiple Valley Stores such as Costco, Fry’s Trader Joe’s or Walmart.
According to ABC15, peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots are being recalled by Wawona Packing Co. Specifically, those that were packed in its Cutler, California warehouse between June 1 and July 12.
The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
This is a nationwide recall, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Costco, Fry’s, Trader Joe’s and the Walmart Corporation have all posted notices on their websites.
The FDA said that testing at Wawona revealed the potential contamination. The facility was shut down and sanitized, and tests that have followed have all resulted in negative results for the food-borne illness.
For a full list of food stores that have conducted recalls on these products can be found at FDA.gov.
