D-backs To Give Away David Peralta T-shirts On Hispanic Heritage Day

PHOENIX –The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks and @LosDbacks) will hand out 20,000 David Peralta Los D-backs T-shirts, courtesy of Gila River Casinos, during Hispanic Heritage Day on Sept. 27 at Chase Field. Over the weekend, Peralta stole home on Friday and hit a grand slam on Saturday to help the D-backs capture wins both nights against the Rockies.

Peralta currently leads all National League rookies with a .313 batting average and his 67 hits are the most by a D-backs player in their first 57 games. He became only the sixth D-back to steal home on Aug. 8 and his 5 RBI on Aug. 9 were the most RBI by a D-backs rookie since Mark Reynolds in 2007.

Hispanic Heritage Day, presented by Budweiser, will feature a postgame concert by Grammy Award-nominated Mexican pop star Cristian Castro. Castro has been nominated multiple times for Latin Grammy Awards and has won countless awards, including being named the Best Male Pop Artist in 2012 (Premios Oye).
