37C9B129-AA4E-47C8-996A-DB3E4F9B272BPHOENIX — Cox Communications has announced that it will double the speeds on two of its most popular packages of Internet service for all customers this year.

These speed increases will make multiple devices running simultaneously in the home a quicker experience.

Cox High Speed Internet Preferred level will increase from 25 megabits per second to 50 megabits per second.

Cox High Speed Internet Premier level will increase from 50 megabits per second to 100 megabits per second.

These packages represent more than 70 percent of Cox’s high-speed Internet customers. The new speeds will automatically go into effect beginning Monday, completed by July 31. Customers do not have to take any action and this action does not require any change in rate/cost.

Cox offers a wide array of broadband service packages designed to suit anyone’s needs, from the casual email user to power gamers and households with multiple family members using the Internet simultaneously.

Cox customers with the Preferred or higher package also have access to over 250,000 WiFi hotspots when they travel so they can stay connected on-the-go, and next year several thousand hot spots here in Arizona.

For more information on the variety of speeds available please visitwww.cox.com/highspeedinternet or a local Cox Solutions Store to test speeds for themselves.
