(Phoenix, Ariz.) – Get ready for some Bomba rhythms downtown as the new International-Latin flavored monthly event “Bomba Club” makes its debut in Arizona.
A new event that celebrates Latin culture across South America will launch at Last Exit Live starting in October. Presented by Afro:Baile; a producer of Afro-Brazilian music and events, “Bomba Club” will debut October 2 and continue every First Friday thereafter. The event will feature live Latin music and dance alongside artists painting Latin-inspired works. A rotation of flavorful food trucks offering tasty Latin cuisine will be on site.
In exploring Afro-Latin culture, music, dance, art, and cuisine, downtown’s hottest new event will focus on bridging the gaps between North, Central, and South American countries while creating a fun atmosphere of Latin rhythms. Bomba Club pays homage to the past and present styles of Latin American music and dance and will break down barriers that separate South American cultures and communities.
South America is home to a melting pot of rich history, cultural traditions and a variety of music styles. Bomba Club will feature national touring bands, DJs and dancers, performing and playing Salsa, Cuban Jazz, Samba rhythms, Tropidelica, Cumbia, Latin Rock and Electronica.
In its downtown debut on Oct. 2, Bomba Club will feature headlining act La Sucursal de la Cumbia from Mexicali, Baja California, México. The Cumbia-rocking band will be fresh off playing crowds of 20,000 at the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City. Special guest EL Nico from Clandesinto, a Cumbia DJ, will make an appearance and DJ Seduce will round out musical duties for the night.
For its debut, Bomba club will also feature Live Latin Art by Joey Formiga-Morales, and Triple Dot food truck will serve fresh-to-order Argentinian food. Drink specials and giveaways will be in effect throughout the night.
“Bomba Club was created with the idea of engaging and empowering Latinos, Afro-Latinos and Afro-Brazilians, as a way to come together and celebrate culture, but also recognizing the diversity of the Afro-Latin diaspora,” DJ Seduce said.
