Carolina Herrera’s Nephew Abducted Killed
Tragedy has hit Carolina Herrera‘s family. On Thursday, the bodies of Herrera’s nephew, Reinaldo Jose Herrera, and his business associate were found on the back of a pickup truck outside Caracas, Venezuela. According to reports, the 34-year-old and Fabrizio Mendoza were kidnapped and held ransom after leaving a restaurant earlier in the day. Despite the money being paid, the designer’s nephew and Mendoza were still found dead with gunshot wounds.
On Saturday, the 78-year-old took to Instagram to confirm the tragic news when she shared a photo of her late nephew along with a heartfelt message. “Thank you so much for all your thoughtful messages. The family and I appreciate your kindness. Our only hope is that the tragic assassination of our young nephew, Reinaldo and his colleague, Fabrizio will serve to mitigate the terrible carnage and murders that are committed against our youth in Venezuela. The Electoral Results must be respected. The Communist Dictatorship must go,” the Venezuelan-born designer captioned the photo.
