Cardinals Start Season 3-0 After beating 49ers

For the second week in a row Arizona Cardinal’s back up quarterback Drew Stanton guided the Cardinals to a victory. Arizona beat the 5 49ers 23-14 on Sunday.
Arizona is now 3-0 with a bye week coming up.
Stanton has started for injured Carson Palmer who is out with a shoulder problem.
“It felt really good to come out here and get a win,” said Stanton after the game.
Stanton finished the game with 244 passing yards, completing 18 of 33 passes and 2 touchdowns. John Brown caught to passes for touchdowns and finished with 52 receiving yards.
“No one knows me, but they know that once I get the ball I can do things,” said Brown after the game. “Drew is a great guy, he performs big time and I feel like we are lucky to have him, because Drew can be a starter somewhere else and he is just a starter as well.” And added, “It feels good to be 3-0 going into a bye week,”
Before Sunday’s victory, the 49ers had beaten the cardinals 9 out of the last 10 games.
The 49ers blew a 14-6 halftime lead.
Arizona played a great second-half. With 4:39 remaining in the third quarter, Stanton connected with for a 21-yard pass touchdown.
Chandler Catanzaro sealed the game with :29 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter with a 35-yard field goal.
The Cardinals’ defense shut down the 49ers offensive game.
49ers(1-2) quarterback Colin Kaepernick finished the game with 245 passing yards, completing 20 of 37 passes and 1 touchdown. Kaepernick was perfect during the first quarter as he completed 7 of 7 passes for 61 yards.
Arizona will visit Denver October 5 to face the Broncos. Denver also has a bye this coming Sunday.
