Camila Cabello Surprises With Two Songs On The Same Day

Camila Cabello finally gave her fans a release date for her debut solo album. The pop singer shared the news on Instagram that the album “Camila,” formerly called “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.” will be out on Jan. 12, 2018. Now that we are one month away from the highly anticipated album, Cabello has given fans two new songs to listen to from her upcoming album. Here are the two new songs you can jam to while you wait patiently.

“Real Friends” feels like a diary entry of a young woman outgrowing some of her friends who were never really there for her. Cabello sings about wanting to make friends who are really there for her. Let’s be honest, who hasn’t been there before? Most of us have been in a place where we have to take a step back and reevaluate everyone around us.

“I’m just lookin’ for some real friends / All they ever do is let me down / Every time I let somebody in / But I find out what they’re all about,” Cabello sings.

“Never Be the Same” is a very different kind of song from “Real Friends.” The emotional take of this single is all about being a little too dependent on that special person who might not actually be that special at all. This is definitely for those moments when you just don’t know how to quit the person that’s just no good for you.

“It’s you, babe / And I’m a sucker for the way that you move, babe / And I could try to run, but it would be useless / You’re to blame / Just one hit, you will know I’ll never be the same,” Cabello sings.
