After teasing fans with video clips of the track, the former Fifth Harmony member premiered the highly-anticipated song on Friday, along with it’s steamy music video on Vevo. Cabello, Benny Blanco, and Sia teamed up to write the song, called “Crying in the Club,” which will be featured on the singer’s upcoming album The Hurt The Healing The Loving.
In a recent interview with Complex, the 20-year-old couldn’t contain her excitement when sharing details about her first solo since her departure from the girl group. “I’m so excited to share the first music from my album The Hurting, the Healing, The Loving. This video summarizes the message of my journey over the past couple years, from darkness to light, from lost to found,” the Cubana said. “The director, Emil Nava, and I are put our hearts into this and we hope you like it!
On Monday, the pop singer also took to Instagram to share an emotional open letter to her 10.5 million followers about the journey of her forthcoming album. “The Hurting The Healing The Loving” is the story of my journey from darkness into light, from a time when I was lost, to a time when I found myself again,” the “Bad Things” singer wrote. “I was completely broken during that time, I was in the kind of pain that’s uncomfortable to talk about, and it was the kind of chapter you never want to read out loud…”

Although the Cuban-born star is expected to perform at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, it’s unclear whether she will debut the new song during the show.
