The 20-year-old’s latest project is the music video for a collab with Major Lazer, a song called “Know No Better” featuring Travis Scott and Quavo alongside her. The tune is the lead single off of Major Lazer’s latest EP of the same name.
With those featured making cameos throughout, the video follows a boy’s daydream of wanting to be a backup dancer for Major Lazer. “I thought it could be fun to do a video that married a kid’s daydream of being a Major Lazer backup dancer (i.e. the ultimate goal for any dancer out there) with the reality of quotidian ass-kickings and unbearable siblings,” the video’s director, Philip Andelman told Just Jared.
Cabello can be seen in one of the character’s dream sequences, cheering him on in the recording studio during her verse of the song.
Although her departure from 5H was a surprise to many fans, success has been following her through the infancy of her solo career. With her star-studded collaborations and singles making their way on the charts — “Crying In the Club” has been on Billboard’s Hot 100 for seven weeks now — her long-awaited solo album is sure to impress.
