April in Phoenix is definitely not just about Easter anymore!

It’s also a month filled with amazing food festivals, sporting events, and concerts from some of the best talent in Latin music. Like every month, we’ did the researching so you don’t have to, and came up with our monthly list of the top ten events coming to Phoenix. Check it out:

 

La Ley at Comerica Theatre

Chilean rock band La Ley is bringing its Adaptación to Phoenix this April. Beto Cuevas, Mauricio Claveria, Pedro Frugone, and David Chirino will be performing their greatest hits at Comerica Theatre, including “Mentira,” “Aqui,” “Dia cero” and “Fuera de Mi.”

Natalia LaFourcade at the Herberger Theater Center

Fresh off her 2016 Grammy® win for best Latin rock, urban or alternative album, Natalia LaFourcade has added Phoenix to her U.S tour and is set to perform at the Herberger Theater Center on April 29, presented by ASU Gammage Beyond. LaFourcade went on tour promoting her album Hasta la Raíz (Sony), around states in Mexico and has added several U.S cities to the tour garnering rave reviews.

Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix

Race cars that move like bullets, and a high-speed (we’re talking over 200 mph here), nail-biting competition. This is the Phoenix Grand Prix, and it’s taking place in the West Valley this weekend. For seasoned racing enthusiasts, as well as newbies to the sport, this is the place to be. Taking place at Phoenix International Raceway, noted for its “dogleg” turn, the Phoenix Grand Prix is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat.

Pepe Aguilar at the Tucson Arena

The one, the only, Pepe Aguilar will be making his glorious return to Tucson for one night only this weekend. The legendary Mexican-American musician and six-time Grammy winner, noted for his work in mariachi, ranchera, and pop, will be serenading audiences at the Tucson Arena, so be amongst them and swoon the night away this Saturday!

It’s the event you’ve been waiting for since last April, the Phoenix Pride Festival is back and bringing fun, camaraderie, and fierceness to all. Grammy award winning Latin Jazz musicians Arturo Sandoval and Poncho Sanchez will be playing this Saturday at the Scottsdale Performing Arts Center. A protégé of the iconic jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie, Sandoval will be taking the stage with Sanchez to bring you an evening of amazing classic Latin jazz. If you’re looking for a night of incredible music to either dance to, or kick back and toe-tap to, this is the place to be this weekend.

Arizona Wine Festival

Wine lovers rejoice! Hosted by the Arizona Wine Growers Association, the Arizona Wine Festival is all set to hit the streets of Tempe, offering the best from eight Arizona Farm wineries. Some of these include Alcantara Vineyards, Bodega Pierce, Pillsbury Wineworks, and Sonoita Vineyards. The event is open to the public, and tastings start at $15.
