12-Year-Old Latino Bassist Debuts For Korn
Heavy metal band Korn has been around since the ’90s, but they just happened to add a new, fresh face to its group of tatted musicians.
Tye Trujillo, at only 12-years-old, has been watching his dad Robert Trujillo play bass in Metallica since the day he was born. Now, the youngster is showing off his own metal chops on tour with Korn.

Trujillo is temporarily filling in for permanent bassist Fieldy Arvizu while the band heads out on a tour around South America. On Monday, the little musician made his on-stage debut with the band in Bógota, Colombia. Korn fanatics went wild for the bassist, who made them question how he’s really only a middle school student. He even played hits including “Freak on a Leash,” “Falling Away From Me,” and “Good God.”
