downloadThe New KMLE @ 107.9 blanketed the Phoenix airwaves for two days on December 11th and 12th with stories of hope asking the people of the Valley to come together and donate to help kids fighting cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

KMLE Country Cares for Kids Radiothon raised over $231,865, which was accepted by Danielle Trzyna, the Associate Director of the Southwest Region ALSAC Field Operations, on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We are grateful to KMLE and the KMLE Nation for helping us raise awareness about how St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer by freely sharing its research. Thanks to generous donations from listeners, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food.”

KMLE on-air personalities, Steve & Nina, David Dean and Bo Hunter led the way in asking the people of the Valley to become a Partner in Hope and donate $20 a month – just $.67 a day to help cure childhood cancer and save the lives of those taken too soon. The Valley reacted graciously with donating over $231,865 in just 2 days.

“We want to thank the KMLE Nation for the amazing support for St. Jude. The outpouring from the Phoenix community exceeded our expectations,” said KMLE Country @ 107.9 Program Director Tim Richards. “We’re honored to work with St Jude.”

This marks the third year the New KMLE @ 107.9 has held the KMLE Country Cares for Kids Radiothon benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The previous years raised over $534,500 combined.

All of the proceeds from the KMLE Country Cares for Kids Radiothon were donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where the daily operating cost is $1.9 million, which is primarily covered by individual contributors.
