Arizona’s First Million-Dollar Medical Marijuana Dispensary to Open Doors
(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – What does a million-dollar medical marijuana facility look like? Arizona doesn’t know, but it will the weekend of September 23rd when Harvest of Scottsdale opens. The redeveloped and redesigned 6,800 square-foot former bank building will be one of the largest in the state, and the most expensive ever built due to Harvest’s commitment to unparalleled customer service.
Harvest of Scottsdale will be running specials throughout their grand opening weekend – from Friday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 25th.
After closing hours on September 25th, Harvest of Scottsdale will host an open house event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those who stop by for the event will get a chance to tour the facility and learn more about the products. Harvest of Scottsdale’s patient advisors will also be onsite to answer any questions regarding medicinal cannabis and treatment. A patient card is not needed to attend the open house; everyone is welcome.
“We are excited to open the door to Harvest of Scottsdale,” said Steve White, CEO of Harvest Inc. “Every penny of this project was spent with the patients in mind. We wanted to create a place where they feel comfortable getting aid for their medical needs and where they can learn more about safe medical cannabis treatment.”
The dispensary – located at 15190 N. Hayden Rd. – boasts 11 check-out terminals and the largest dedicated shopping space in Scottsdale, allowing patients to either quickly obtain medicine or browse merchandise and talk to knowledgeable patient advisors.
Bevin Barrett, a Scottsdale mother who uses cannabis to treat her son’s seizures, is particularly excited for Harvest of Scottsdale’s grand opening.
“I currently drive thirty minutes to Harvest of Tempe to purchase my son’s medicine,” said Barrett. “I go there even though other dispensaries are closer because the staff is so helpful with my son’s medical needs. Having a location closer to my home will save me a lot of time.”
The dispensary will have a dedicated educational space, which will serve as a location for office hours with Medical Director Dr. Troutt and will be used to host monthly New Patient Orientation seminars. Harvesting Hope, a non-profit that provides support for families and children suffering from seizure disorders, will also use the new facility for meetings, as will other support groups for patients who suffer from chronic pain, cancer, HIV/AIDS, ALS, Crohn’s disease, Glaucoma, and a number of other chronic or debilitating diseases.
“Our goal is just to make everyone comfortable using medicinal cannabis,” said White. “We hope that with the new Harvest of Scottsdale facility we created an inviting environment where patients feel comfortable addressing their medical needs.”
The first Harvest location, Harvest of Tempe has been recognized as one of only seven dispensaries nationwide to have earned the Americans for Safe Access Patient Focused Certification for Distribution, which entailed a stringent audit of the dispensary’s operating procedures and annual, unannounced inspections. Harvest of Tempe was also the recipient of four Best Dispensary awards in Arizona.
