Oh the joys of Facebook.

While some find its use helpful in building relationships, staying in touch with family members and long-time friends, we all have to admit that there is one or two people in your friends’ list that you wouldn’t like to spend time with in real life.

A survey released by the Daily Mail, found that 68 percent of users have Facebook friends they don’t like — and would avoid them if they stumbled across each other on the street.

The reason we keep these friends, according to the poll is so we can snoop on what they’re up to.

The survey was done among teen U.S. Facebook users 18 and over. The average number of total Facebook friends across those surveyed was 671, and when asked how many contacts were true friends, the average was 18.

Then why do we keep the rest of the bunch in our “friends”? The main reason for keeping these people on Facebook was to be nosy.

Other reasons, of course, included that they were a family member, a work colleague, or they would cause a scene if they were deleted.
